Sorry for the delay chaps, it's been a hell of a week for us! Enjoy!

Weekly Update - October 12th, 2009

October 13th, 2009 by Dman757 Welcome to another week here at No More Room in Hell where we don't just talk about zombies, we make em'. It seems very rare that we ever showcase some of our music and well its about time we filled our quota. It's a short but audible update this week hope you enjoy.

If you've listened to our audio updates then you might have noticed that we haven't released the music used at the beginning and end of the recording. So while these first two tracks you will hear may not be new to all of you we have a third never before heard track. These tracks were created by Beckett who has helped to create many of our amazing weapon and environment sounds, from zombie growls to gunshots hes been a great credit the team.

Up till now we have only released a thirty second teaser our menu music. Here you can listen to one of our Main menu themes which is one of a few themes that are randomly selected to play at start up.
Music - Main Menu Theme

Walking in a dark city with zombies all around is bound to cause some tension in its self but just in case we have some music to help increase it.
Music Teaser - Tension

One of my personal favorites, for when you don't have much time and you've gotta escape this chaotic fast placed music is here to heighten the mood.
Music Teaser - Action

Well I hope his update has made your ears happy. See you next week!

Concept Art
SickJoe writes little stories from time to time for his drawings and well for this particular image I thought it would fun to share it with you:

"The Rhodes' SUV sat engulfed in flames not far from this point. If ever something could make an imprint on a spiritual plane, the events that preceeded this point in time would surely leave a weeping gash in it's very fabric. Mrs. Rhodes only wanted to get her sick husband to the hospital, to stop his fever, to stop his pain...to stop his screaming. But her haste was wasted, her husband lies quietly in the backseat. The fever had finally taken him and Mrs. Rhodes was at a loss of words when her daughter asked why her father wasn't moving anymore. Mrs. Rhodes driving on mere instinct alone as she slips away from the reality of her dead husband, the man that she had been with for 15 years now, dead from some disease the health administration said was no threat to the American populace last night on the news, The horrible screech of what sounds like the metal on metal wail of some ancient rusty brake pad melts away into the cry of help from Mrs. Rhodes' daughter in the back seat. Looking in the rear view mirror to see only the rolled back eyes of her son as he holds his openly flowing neck wound. Abandoning any logic or reason Mr's Rhodes recoils in terror as she sees her dead husband chewing on her daughter's outstretched arm. Before even a second of comprehension could enter her mind the car was air born and that terrible image was imprinted into the darkness that entered her mind as the vehicle impacted the brick wall.

Mrs. Rhodes staggers to her feet, lost in the flickering lights of the nearby wreckage and the pounding of her aching head. The only thing guiding her now is her maternal desire to find her children and make sure they are alright. Luckily for Mrs. Rhodes the answer she seeks lies only a few meters to her left down that shop alleyway. Mrs. Rhodes can already see young Joseph tending to his sister, hunched over her possibly trying to help her up. The only pieces that are even remotely clear in the events that follow are that Joseph was sobbing as he reached out to his still motionless sister, repeatedly saying "I'm sorry". All Mrs. Rhodes wants to do is tell her son it's not his fault and hug him and know that he is okay. But surely the mangled masses of stripped flesh adorning the child's crown were tricks of the eye in the darkness of the alley way. Even when Joseph turned blankly to meet his Mother's gaze with his remaining healthy eye that was not obstructed by curtains of forehead flesh, Mrs. Rhodes refused to accept the madness that has just become her reality...or rather your reality...can you kill your child before you? can you put to rest the jawless flayed automaton that bears such a resemblance to your daughter, only how could she be your daughter, how can she still move? How are you going to fare when there's no more room in hell?

Weekly Update - September 28th, 2009

September 28th, 2009 by Dman757 Greetings to you all I bring tidings of that which has come of our teams fruitful work. Images by Nay0r that tell a tale of a dark foreboding landscape in the heart of a cold urban metropolis. As well as a gruesome exhibition of a lifeless vagrant sans the legs to propel himself, brought to life by Sickjoe.

nmrih_broadway
You may or may not remember but back in our September 7th update we had some images of a work in progress map nmrih_broadway by Nay0r. Well nmrih_broadway is nearly finished now with some very dark and foreboding lighting. We have five images here today to showcase the atmosphere and setting of this map. Having gone though some walkthroughs my self I can say it has a great horror style atmosphere. Next on the list is gameplay tweaking through testing.

The images were to big to post them all so the rest are in thumbnail size. *Just click them to enlarge*

The Crawler
We have planned from the start that we want there to be crawler zombies in game. So SickJoe has jump started the process by coming up with the concept we will base it off of. Very gruesome and gory down to the last detail, quality you can always expect from SJ.

Forthwith another week has come to an end, in valediction I must always implore you to be forthcoming in our humble community.

Weekly Update - September 21st, 2009

September 21st, 2009 by Dman757 Introduction
Short yet sweet update this week as we continue to slowly assimilate our selves to the heavy work loads required of us at work and school. We've got some new zombies and small information about what some of our team is working on at the moment.

What's the team doing?
Surfa has finished model of his Smith and Wesson model but strained his neck so the texture may take some time while he recovers. Inzaneflea is working on the low poly of his shotgun. Maxx is working on texturing his 1911. Sotapoika and Nay0r have been cranking out some nice textures for our level design department. I've been working on some mysterious document and planning for our upcoming audio update. SickJoe continues to work on animated blood splatters, concept art, and textures. Chad509 has finished off some more Beretta animations. Vilham has been out of commission for a little while while his laptop is broken.

Zombie Models
Today we have some zombies, yes this is a game about zombies! CrazyMatt has been quite busy recently working a number of projects. He has just finished two amazing zombie models, the animations for which are in production that means in a few weeks they will be ready to eat your brains in game. You may be wondering why none of our zombies have hair and well, hair loss is not a side-effect of zombification, it is merely a coincidence! The next zombies will have hair, we promise.

Weekly Update - September 14th, 2009

September 14th, 2009 by Dman757 Hello, one and all boys and girls! This past week many of us have been busy with work and school getting back into the groove of education. Which should go with out saying is why our update is a little reserved this week.

Modeling/Artwork
Maxx has been working hard despite a few setback on his 1911. After several file corruptions and having to start from scratch each time he is still working on it. He also started making ammo boxes for the various weapon calibers. Surfa has been finishing off some textures for various custom props and is working on a Smith and Wesson 686 model. InzaneFlea just finished the Hi-Poly model of his Remington 870 Marine Magnum, and will be creating the Low-Poly over the coming week. SickJoe is working on our Blood Tech artwork, coming up with multiple blood splatters at the moment. You can see the three phases so far of our Blood Tech below.

Animation
Chad has just started work on animating the chainsaw.

Blood Tech
There is one more tier in between 2 and 3 which we lost the screen shot for but I hope this illustrates the point well enough.

We're still working solidly and diligently, but as stated earlier, this week has been a busy one with school resuming and much of our team resuming their education.

Weekly Update - September 7th, 2009

September 7th, 2009 by Dman757 Introduction
Hey everyone we got some insider news from most of our departments this week. From animations, new guns, maps, zombie facelifts and a fan made wallpaper we have it all. I hope you enjoy this weeks update so without further ado!

Animation
We hope to provide you with some in game footage next week, it is about time that we show off some of our animations by SharkDog and Chad. Though for this week SharkDog has animated the lead pipe and Chad is working on some touched-up M9 animations as well as he finished the SV10 animations.

Level Design
We recently hired a new level designer, Steaky, so be sure to give him nice ole' welcome to the team. As for our current mappers Sotapoika's is nearly finished with his map which is currently unnamed so sit tight for some in game images of that soon. Nay0r has some nice images of his map nmrih_broadway to show off you can catch them below.

Modeling & Art Work
Maxx has been working hard at creating a great new gun, the Ruger 10/22 which he just recently finished. This is just added to the long list of amazing weapons and props that Maxx has cranked out. It doesn't stop there though just today he started working on another weapon a Colt 1911 handgun.

SickJoe has made yet another piece of concept art in between his texture work. So along with his concept work here is a preview of his texture work, he has given our old friend Berny a face lift so to speak.

Wallpaper
Xendrid has created a wallpaper dedicated to the amazing concept art of SickJoe. Xendrid has also created a Xfire skin for the mod in the past check it out here and from what I hear is working on a Steam skin at the moment.

As always I hope you enjoyed this update, and stick around for more!

Weekly Update - August 31, 2009

August 31st, 2009 by Dman757 Greetings to you fans of NMRiH! We have a great number of in game images as well as some more concept art by SickJoe today. Although, before we get to that, as promised we have the first of our official revived audio updates for your listening pleasure.

Audio Update #1 August 31st 2009
It's 25 minutes long with the voices of Maxx, Inzaneflea, SickJoe, and my self. We answered quite a few questions we hope you enjoy!

Concept pieces by SickJoe

Keep in mind for these images we only have these two zombie variants in game at the moment. We will have more in the future they are just in the process of getting modeled. Also the same goes for why we haven't posted a video, the animations are still in the process of getting completed so please hold tight.

The crowbar.

The baseball bat.

Be sure to take note of the blood on the axe. As stated in our audio update your weapon will become bloodier and bloodier as you kill more zombies.

Here is a image of our Beretta handgun.

As always I hope you enjoyed this update, and stick around for more!
